H.A.L.T. is a team headed by animal rights lawyer and activist Ana Maria Casadiego. We do not believe that every law that exists is a just law, therefore our mission is to fight for the inclusion of other animals in the sphere of justice. We believe sentience is the moral trait that demands justice.
We are entirely dedicated to legal and academic research strictly in the area of animal law on an interdisciplinary basis. We currently collaborate with jurists, universities, NGOs and governmental bodies, both nationally and internationally, in the analysis and investigation of legal cases and the preparation of legal and academic reports on animal protection.
Out of the public view we help with the rescue of animals who are being victims of a crime.
H.A.L.T is against oppression to both humans and animals.

Here is a list of the top animal sanctuaries in Spain (vegan). It’s just a small selection, but we only want to list those who we know, either directly or from reliable sources, and who are big enough to be interesting for visitor groups.

We show farm animals as they really are, highlighting their individuality by sharing their unique stories and educating the public about the treatment of animals raised for human consumption.
We have created a space free of speciesism, an animal sanctuary, within whose physical limits products of animal origin are not consumed or advertised.
Its facilities are adapted according to the needs and interests of each individual and according to their personal characteristics. Spaces or protection parks where different species coexist in peace and harmony, without cages or fences that retain or isolate us from each other.
There are 30 hectares of immeasurable beauty where rescued animals who were victims of exploitation, aggression or abandonment live happily; 30 hectares where they are offered the possibility of a decent life, where no one will separate them from their family, where mothers will raise their children, and grandmothers will grow old alongside their lifelong friends.
They run a weekend or weekly stay holiday house on the premises, with vegan food and treats.
For more than 12 years, El Hogar Animal Sanctuary rescues animals of all species. In this time, we have met wonderful people who, due to different circumstances (physical pain, advanced age, etc.), cannot come to volunteer at the sanctuary but want to participate, want to live with the animals, meet them and feel the activism in first person. At the same time, it happens to sensitive people continuously that on our vacations or at those times when we need to rest physically and / or psychologically, the society that surrounds us exposes us to cases of abuse or such unpleasant scenes in relation to animals, that leave us that discomfort, sadness and helplessness that leads us inexorably to the need to return to our safe space, to the desire to flee the world. We feel hurt and hopeless. With these feelings, it is difficult not to fall out of compassion. El Hogar wants to help in this aspect too: we want to take care of hypersensitive humans andLa Cabaña will be the perfect option to offer an ethical, safe and healthy vacation.
Sanctuary Wings of Heart is an organization for the rescue and defense of farm animals considered victims of livestock exploitation, abandonment or mistreatment.
In the Sanctuary they receive the necessary care so that they have a dignified life for the rest of their lives. More than 300 animals of all species: cows, bulls, sheep, goats, pigs, birds, donkeys or horses have achieved a second chance in a haven of peace.
The Gaia Sanctuary Foundation is a vegan rescue and recovery center for farm animals, where those that have been exploited, mistreated or abandoned, receive the necessary care so that they have a dignified life for the rest of their lives.
Located in Camprodon (Girona) in the heart of the Pyrenees, surrounded by forests, rivers and mountains. The tranquility of the place is ideal so that the non-human animals that arrive here, most in poor condition, have a speedy recovery and live in peace and harmony.
Animal Compassion Sanctuary is a rescue center for farm animals. We offer animals that have been exploited, mistreated and abandoned. We provide them with a decent life, food, veterinary care and everything they need to live in peace.

OUR STRATEGIES
Know : Only if we have rigorous, sufficient and reliable information can we be valid interlocutors for the animals. We investigate the use of animals in specific areas and possible alternatives.
Communicate : AnimaNaturalis seeks to inform and draw public attention to the situation of animals.
Propose : We can only save animals if we are able to propose alternatives. That is, real and viable options or solutions that respect animals.
Change : Through social and political pressure, we seek to impact legal decisions, juridical, political organisms, and companies in matters involving animals, to achieve measures that consider their benefit.
